A Semedo, R Vettor, O Breivik, A Sterl, M Reistad, C Guedes Soares

The output of a high-resolution wave model of the Nordic Seas is analyzed and a climatology developed. While swell appears to be the most important waveconstituent, wind sea is foudn to be very important is sheltered seas, most importantly the North Sea and the Barentz Sea. Variations in the wave field are tied to variations in the atmosphere, most notably NAO and AO.
